A pedestrian and cycle path on the Lambrate junction

This project sits within the context of a reorganisation of the road junction that joins the Lambrate urban road to Milan’s eastern ring road. This undertaking entailed the development of an elevated pedestrian and cycle route that crosses the junction south of Via Rombon, connecting the area around the Idroscalo lake with the residential area that extends west between the ring road and Lambrate train station. Because of the extreme complexity of the junction, the pedestrian and cycle route winds its way through the interstitial spaces cut by the twisting routes of the eight road intersection ramps. To read a description of the design of the route – overseen by Sinergo – and the design of the Lambrate junction – managed by Pro Iter throughout its entire development – please visit the relevant ISSUU page.
