A 22 MW wind farm in western Sicily
The plan for the Buseto Palizzolo (TP) wind farm entailed the installation of 11 wind turbines with an electrical rated output of 2 MW each. The wind turbines have a height of 78.5m (measured to the hub) and a diameter of 92m, and are connected via a newly constructed electric power substation (30/150 kV), positioned along the 150kV Alcamo-Custonaci line. The area of the project is hilly and features land used for grazing livestock and wheat fields. The project, overseen from its preliminary stages of development by Sinergo, was authorised after a long and laborious analysis carried out by the relevant bodies. The works, directed by Sinergo Spa, were concluded in 2016.
